This is definitely a STEM project…lots of companies use that title for sales but the use case for STEM is questionable, no doubt here. Multiple ages can do this project but depending on the age, and quite frankly the child, they may need supervision.

A good teaching too if you work on this with your child. My 5 year old really enjoyed building it with her dad. The materials used to make the kit are strong and same of we are used to that with the Kiwi crates and Tinker crates we’ve assembled in the past.You will get a lot of learning and play out of it. It teaches some good engineering and physics concepts with electronics and sound. I won’t let my 3 year old play with it though, he would definitely break it. A decent science kit for the 6 to 10 year old set (especially if they like either music or electronics) .
